Excellent food! All locally sourced. A must try if in the area. A little pricey but worth it.

This was the best dining experience I’ve had in a very long time. The restaurant is so beautiful, classy and clean. The staff was incredibly kind and courteous. And the food.....oh my. Everything was perfection! We loved the creative and unique vegan “cheese” plate and the fluffy pastry in the pirogies was divine. Last but not least, the desserts were the most decadent treats we’ve had in a long time. The s’more was massive and absolutely tasted like campside s’more, but clearly with high quality components. We cannot wait to go back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Salt of the Earth, and I have to say, it was an absolute treat! The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the scallops. They were perfectly seared on the outside, with a tender, buttery center that practically melted in your mouth. The seasoning was just right, and the accompanying sauce had a delicate balance of flavors that really enhanced the natural sweetness of the scallops. Each bite was a joy. For the main course, I opted for the gluten-free wild mushroom pizza. As someone who is very particular about gluten-free crusts, I was beyond impressed with how light, crisp, and flavorful it was—without sacrificing the traditional pizza experience. Topped with fresh, vibrant mushrooms, including caramelized onion, and arugula, it had the perfect amount of balsamic glaze. The cheese was gooey and satisfying, and the crust didn’t feel heavy or dry like many gluten-free options tend to. It was a real standout. The service was friendly, and the ambiance was cozy yet modern, making for a great overall experience. If you're looking for a place with standout seafood and delicious gluten-free options, I highly recommend checking out Salt of the Earth. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

From the hostess to the servers to the chef and food couldn't have been more perfect if I had made it at home. Well to be honest was a lot tastier than my own food. Highly recommend for everyone to try at least once. Great job Salt of the Earth Team. Chef Kayla went above and beyond did an amazing job. Our server Leah was so nice and went above and beyond for us as well. Will definitely have to stop next time we come up for a visit.

What a surprising and charming spot 20 minutes north of south haven. We specifically found it since my husband are are vegan and vegetarian. The ambiance, service, and food were superb. They weren't snooty about accommodating anything. We asked for spice, and they said of course, for example. The pasta with tofu and the pizza with cashew cream were both delicious. The pistachio ice cream was pretty yummy too. Christie was a lovely server. I lost my sunglasses AGAIN and remembered them the next day. I left a voicemail, and Chris called me back the next day right when I expected him too, and promised to send them to me. Great, personable service!

This restaurant is a real gem. They catered to vegans and vegetarians in our group. Paisley took care of our table and was a kind hearted , patient and an amazing waitress. Their pasta made from scratch was awesome. The pistachio vegan ice cream was very good. Overall I wish there were more restaurants like salt of the earth everywhere.

What a fantastic dining EXPERIENCE we had at Salt! I specify experience because it was so much more than just a meal. Esthetically, the environment and look of the food and drinks is so enjoyable. We were served by Kristi and I feel like calling her a server or a waitress is so below her. She was so enthusiastic and passionate. We enjoyed her presence so much! The food was phenomenal and we had the pleasure of meeting the chef. My favorite was the home-made pasta. All the from-scratch ingredients were amazing and so fresh. We were treated to some sweet corn ice cream and fig leaf ice cream. Bizzare, right? I would never have thought to order them but WOW. They were delicious!! Such a fun and adventurous dining experience. I only wish we lived in the area and weren't just visiting, because we would absolutely return numerous times.

I think this is the best dining experience I’ve ever had and I never leave reviews anywhere, but my boyfriend and I just loved it so much we had to! I believe our waitresses name was Paisley, she was great and personable and made us feel comfortable. The food was so delicious and fresh and the whole atmosphere was just relaxing. Thanks again. :)
